Phoæna Griseus
Ten or eleven feet long, bluish black above and dull white beneath, with a large rounded head, an upper jaw longer than the lower, an elevated pointed dorsal fin and well-developed pectorals, it has only eight teeth, all in the lower jaw. It associates in groups and utters loud cries, and is obtained solely on the west coast of France, usually driven by tempests into the Bay of Biscay.
