Cryptophasa Irrorata
A New South Wales moth with dusky grey anterior wings thickly speckled brown and white, an ear-like mark, and a dark angular patch near the shoulder, the hind wings dark with a silvery margin. Its larva bores a cylindrical cell into the bark and stem of a Casaurina, weaving a covering of leaves and excrement over the entrance, emerging only after sunset to carry leaves within; it pupates in January and flies in February.
