Carbonate of Lime

There seems two modes of rounding, as if from the zonaire of Haüy, v. 2. p. 154, and simply modifying from the inverse rhomb. The former being shown in the last plate, 418, I now proceed to show specimens of the latter. This, perhaps, is also the most perfect, but, having occasionally the modifications and facets belonging to the former, required to be more particularly noticed. The upper specimen, from Llandidno, is the inverse rhomb beginning to round. The specimen below shows it nearly as round as can be to discover the rhombic formation.
