Entellus Monkey

Semnopithecus entellus

A native of the Indian archipelago and parts of the continent, this slender monkey is of uniform ashy-grey above, dingy yellowish-white beneath, with dusky-black fore-arms, hands, and feet, a black face fringed with a grizzled-white beard, and long fingers. It stands about one foot five inches with a tail near two feet, is venerated by the natives, susceptible to cold, and though tamed and playful when young, grows mischievous and dangerous with age.
