Skull and Teeth of Russian Wolf

This black wolf at least equals the common in size and exceeds it in limb and shoulder, dwelling chiefly in rocky mountains and reckoned the predominant species of Southern Europe and Spain, where the lobo is entirely black, ferocious and shy. Heavy enough that a strong man cannot lift one slain, it shadows mule strings at dusk and crosses readily with domestic dogs.
