Viverrine Phalanger
Phalangista viverrina
A phalanger with short rounded ears, white furred behind, and a tail rather longer than the body but not bushy, tapering to short hairs at the tip, the long woolly fur brownish grey above and white beneath. The muzzle is blackish with a small white spot behind each eye, the tail blackish in the middle and white at the tip, the head and body about fifteen inches, and it inhabits Van Diemen’s Land.
