Cook’s Phalanger
Phalangista Cookii
A phalanger with small rounded ears clothed externally in bright rust coloured fur fringed yellowish white, and a tail as long as head and body, scantily haired beyond its furred base, the fur rusty grey above with brilliant rusty yellow on head, limbs, and sides and yellowish white beneath. A small white spot lies behind each eye, the tail dusky brown but white tipped, the head and body about thirteen inches, and it inhabits New South Wales.
