Brush-Tailed Phascogale

Phascogale penicillata

A rat sized marsupial with large ears and a long, very bushy tail, grey above and white beneath, the long soft fur tipped with black and mingled with longer black hairs, the tail furred only near its base. Its remaining two thirds are clothed with black hairs near two inches long, the head and body near eight inches, and ranging throughout New South Wales it is common on Liverpool Plains and often enters houses.
