Ocellated Turkey
Meleagris ocellata
Nearly equal in size to the common Turkey though with a less ample tail, this bird has head and neck naked and livid, the lower neck, back, and underparts bronzed green banded with black and golden bronze. Towards the tail-coverts the tints brighten to rich blue and emerald edged with red and velvety black, the rounded tail bearing fourteen feathers and the legs purplish red.
