Grey Falcon

Falco concolor

A falcon remarkable for uniform colouring, its whole plumage a deep slate, somewhat paler beneath, relieved only by slender black shaft-stripes most distinct upon the head, neck, and breast. The quills are black externally yet barred with white beneath, the much-rounded tail exceeds the wings by some two and a half inches and shows crowded white bars when spread, with orbits, cere, and feet bright yellow.
