Idea Agelia & I. Daos

  1. Idea Agelia. Varying from above six inches to nearly four and a half across, the surface is greyish-white with black nervures and a black sinuated hinder border divided by large whitish oval spots, and longitudinal black stripes between the nervures. The forewings bear four irregular black spots forming an arched band, the body is whitish with black lines along back and thorax, and it is native to Java, Amboina, and other Asiatic islands.
  2. Idea Daos. The smallest of its kind, the wings not quite four inches across, the ground colour dusky white with two remote rows of rounded spots, another at the discoidal cell, and smaller ones on the costa beyond the middle. The abdomen is entirely whitish and the thorax bears two connivent black rays with numerous black anterior spots; said by Boisduval to be a native of Borneo.
