Cercopithecus mona

Brought from Africa and bearing a European climate readily, this elegant Guenon has a greenish-yellow crown, deep chestnut-brown neck and back shading to slate on the limbs, pure white underparts, light straw whiskers, and a tail longer than the body with a white spot on each side of its base. Mild, sedate, and remarkably cunning, it opens drawers, unties knots, and rifles pockets with a delicate, noiseless touch.
