Papio leucophæus

Probably a native of Africa, this baboon is nearly as strong and powerful as the Mandril and of similar form, the adult coloured much alike but generally duller. Its chief distinguishing marks are the absence of ridges upon the muzzle and of bright colour save the bright red border of the upper lip, with white underparts; the female is smaller, duller, and shorter in the head.
