Naucrates Indicus

An elegant, graduated fish discovered on the coasts of New Ireland, having a tail rather more forked and swallow-like than usual, a form well suited to swift and long-continued motion. Its colours are not bright but chastely shaded, while the markings upon the tail are bold and conspicuous.
