Parry’s Kangaroo

Macropus Parryi

A slender and delicately formed kangaroo of silvery grey with a faint purplish hue on the lower back, white beneath, the muzzle dark and a broad pure white cheek mark reaching past the eye, the very long slender compressed tail almost wholly white but black at the tip. Brought from New South Wales near Port Stephens, it proved exceedingly swift and tame, running freely about house and grounds and feeding by night.
