Djiggetai

Asinus hemionus

Named for its long ears, the Djiggetai is little inferior in size to the wild horse, mule-like in shape yet graceful as a horse, with a long flat head, slender neck, erect dark mane, and a line down the spine. Its coat is silvery on the nose and light Isabella to bright bay on the body, hoary in winter; living in small herds under a male, fleet and cautious, it can be tamed to labour with asses.
