Nepaul or Horned Tragopan

Tragopan satyrus

About the size of a large domestic fowl, this Tragopan of Thibet and Nepaul has bright bluish-purple bare skin, lengthened disunited crown feathers of purplish-black turning crimson at the occiput, and a deep black surround to the neck. The upper back and underparts are deep purplish cinnamon-red, the wings umber brown each tipped with a white ocellated spot, the rounded tail nearly hidden by ample white-spotted coverts.
