Thibetian Polyplectron
Polyplectron Tibetanus
Measuring twenty-two inches and of light, elegant form, this crestless species has the crown feathers turned forward and greyish-brown, the throat whitish, and neck, breast, and belly dull brown crossed with undulated blackish bands. The wings and tail bear large round eyed spots of brilliant blue with purple reflections, ringed black and yellowish-white; it inhabits the mountains between Hindostan and Thibet and is easily domesticated.
