Adjusting bars

An arrangement of moveable bars which are used to keep formes steady on the bed of the machine. They obviate the use of furniture and sidesticks, the latter of which are highly dangerous, as the rapid motion of the table tends to loosen them, and the consequences of their getting between the forme and the cylinder would be very disastrous.
