Frisket
A thin iron frame, covered with stout paper, and attached to the head of the tympan by a joint. Spaces corresponding to the parts of a forme that are to be printed, are cut out of the paper covering, and the frisket being turned down upon the sheet on the tympan, keeps it flat, prevents the margin being soiled, and raises it from the forme after it receives the impression.
