Making-up furniture
Dressing a chase with suitable, furniture, side and footsticks, so that a proper margin will he given to the work when printed. This duty falls to the lot of the Quoin-drawer Overseer during the first portion of the work; but if the same furniture is used over again for the same or a similar work, the compositor transfers it from one set of pages to another without extra charge.—See Making Margin.
