Sanspareil

A peculiar system of manufacturing large metal jobbing types, invented by the late Mr. J. H. Crutchfield, and still carried on by his son and a few others. The superiority of producing metal types by this process is evidenced by the smooth and beautiful face it shows, and the length of time a matrix will last, whereas sand-cast types require every type to be finished after casting.
