Delalande’s Humming-Bird
Trochilus Delalandii
Discovered in Brasil and named for Delalande, the male wears a graceful crest of deep blue feathers tipped with white, with a small round patch of clear white behind the eye. Its throat and breast are rich azure, the head and back shining green, while the female lacks the crest and shows clear gray below in place of the azure.
