Magnificent Humming-Bird (Female)

Trochilus magnificus

As unobtrusive as the young male, the female nearly equals her mate in size yet wholly wants the ruff and even the dark line along the neck. Her forehead and throat are yellowish chestnut, the breast and lower parts gray and delicately mottled, the hind head and back greenish gray passing to clearer green on the sides, and the tail rufous with olive-green central feathers.
