Trochilus cornutus

The female wants the splendid crests of her mate, yet her plumage scarcely yields in brilliancy. Her crown is rich ultramarine blue, the dark gorget distinctly marked, the nuchal collar and underparts pure white, the hind head, back, and shoulders bright golden green, and the wings a purplish black.
