Rufous-Bellied Humming-Bird
Trochilus rufigaster
Often confused with allied species, this bird is distinguished by its slender bending bill, yellow at the base and dark at the tip. Scarcely three inches long and a native of Brasil, it shows a bronzed green head and back passing into rich cinnamon on the rump, soft shining rufous below, and a wedge-shaped tail tipped with reddish.
