Brown Llama

Auchenia Llama

Standing about three feet at the shoulder, the Brown Llama is a deep, rich vinous chocolate-brown, palest beneath, clothed in lengthened woolly hair over a fine ground of shorter wool. Native to Peru and Chili, it is exceedingly docile, trained to kneel for loading and to carry 150 pounds daily through the Andes; its wool serves for dress, its milk and venison are eaten, and the bezoar is prized as a charm.
