Ægagrus (Male)

Capra ægagrus

The male stands higher and more slender than the largest domestic goats, with strong thick limbs, a short thick neck, a short tail, and a long beard on the lower jaw. Its triangular horns, bent backwards and covered with transverse ridges, are larger in proportion than those of any other ruminant, the face bears soft silky hair, and specimens varied from greyish brown to greyish yellow, inhabiting Caucasian, Asiatic and perhaps European ranges.
