Jemlah Goat

Capra Jemlahica

Nearly equal in size to the ibex, this goat has a straight facial line, small eyes, short rounded ears, and broad flat horns of pale ashy buff that incline outwards then taper to inward-turning points nearly meeting over the neck. The whole animal is a dirty whitish fawn with dark streaks down the spine and cheffron, the cheek and shoulder hair very long and coarse, and it inhabits the elevated district of Jemlah in central Asia.
