Yellow-Rumped Bull-Finch

Crithagra chrysopyga

A small bull-finch the only one yet received from Senegal, about the size of the redpole linnet and closely allied to the linnets it represents in Africa. The upper plumage including crown, wings, and tail is olive-grey with a dark shaft-stripe to each feather; a broad bright yellow stripe runs above each eye and another below the ears, and the whole under plumage from chin to vent is a clear full yellow.
