Round-Winged Weaver

Ploceus brachypterus

A weaver uniting the characters of two divisions, with rounded wings and a thick cylindrical bill, considered new and highly interesting. The male has the head, ears, and sides of the neck deep yellowish buff with a black throat patch, the breast deep yellow and the upper plumage yellow-olive, while the female shows a back-coloured head and entirely yellow under parts, both sexes bearing a black stripe through the eye.
