Delalande’s Humming-Bird

Trochilus Delalandii

This is the female of a beautiful little species, given to complete the group, with the whole upper parts of the golden-green shown by the male but lacking entirely the splendid crest that adorns his crown. The white spot behind the eye and the deep blue upon the tail remain, while the under parts are a rich smoke-grey of a chaste and pleasing tint.
