Pucras Pheasant

Euplocomus pucrasia

One of the most beautiful Euplocomi, though with a more pheasant-like tail, this variable bird has head, throat, and neck of beautiful green with blue and violet reflections and a conspicuous white patch on the sides of the neck. The crest is long and reddish-yellow, the upper parts rich brown with dark-centred lanceolate feathers and the underparts rich chestnut; it inhabits the alpine regions of India.
