Fury
Canis terrarius
The terrier, perhaps the one original indigenous dog of Britain, carries its head high and boldly with lively energy, and falls into two varieties. The first is smooth, rounded, and rather elegant, black with tan over the eyes and extremities, sometimes white, with sharp muzzle, bright eye, pointed ears, and a high bowed tail; the second, the older wire-haired or Scottish kind, has a shorter fuller muzzle, stouter limbs, hard shaggy fur, and a pale sandy or ochry colour.
