Nectarinia Nipalensis

A fine species from Nipaul, five and a half inches with the long central tail-feathers nearly three inches, the head, throat and neck deep steel-blue, a broad crescent of rich reddish chestnut across the upper breast pointing up the neck-sides, the centre back olive, the rump gamboge-yellow and the upper tail-coverts deep steel-blue. The tail is graduated and black with greenish steel-blue centres, the under parts gamboge-yellow with bright reddish orange on the breast and belly and pale yellowish-white wing-linings.
