Lion (Male)

Felis Leo

First in size and prowess, the Lion bears a rich brownish-yellow coat, the male distinguished by his shaggy mane and the tuft tipping his tail, with a broad chest and powerful front fitted to seize prey heavier than himself. He now ranges much of Africa and the warmer parts of India, keeping to plains, feeding chiefly on deer, antelope, zebra, and cattle, and proving the mildest of the cats in captivity.
