Golden-Tailed Mesoprion

Mesoprion chrysurus

This fish reaches a large size and is of beautiful colours, though subject to much variety in the depth of the rose and purple of its sides. Like its near relative, its upper parts are a rich steel blue tinged with green, the sides generally a fine rose colour tinged with golden yellow, and the much forked tail of a golden yellow.
