Black Fantail
Leucocirca laticauda
A rather large flycatcher remarkable for its broad, perfectly black tail, the upper plumage deep uniform black enveloping head, chin, and half the neck, with brown quills, a white line over the eye, and round white spots on the carpal wing covers. The under plumage from the lower neck is entirely white, the inner wing covers black with white specks, and the total length is eight and a half inches; its origin, Australia or the East Indies, is uncertain.
