Black-Headed Tody

Todus melanocephalus

A bird rather smaller than the green tody, very dark cinereous above with a few olive shades on the back, the front and lores deep black blending into the crown, and the covers and quills deep black edged with yellowish white. The graduated black tail has white tipped lateral feathers, all the under parts are yellow, the bill black with a pale base, and it inhabits Brazil and Cayenne, total length three and three quarter inches.
