Horned Zanclus or Chætodon

Zanclus cornutus

A curious and prettily marked fish, not rare, found in both the Pacific and Indian oceans about the Molucca and Sandwich islands and Celebes, having the general form of the chaetodons from which it was separated. Little horns projecting from the front gained it its name, and the natives, holding it an object of superstition, return it to the waters with reverence, though it is esteemed for flesh with the flavour of turbot, reaching twelve to fifteen pounds.
