Pacamah of Guiana

Lophius? pacamah

Approaching the form of Lophius more than any other, this Pacamah lacks the long head filaments and first dorsal fin, and is of a uniform olive blotched with a darker shade, the pectoral fins disproportionally large. Its provincial native name, Pacamah, is provisionally applied as a specific title by which it may again be recognised; perhaps it may range with Batrachus.
