Hunting-Leopard
Felis jubata
The Hunting-Leopard unites the look of the spotted cats with much of the dog, its bright fawn coat, paling to white beneath, covered with full black spots rather than rings, the fur peculiarly crisp and a slight mane along the neck. Slender and long-legged with only partly retractile claws, it is native to Africa and India and, being docile, is trained in India to course antelope, creeping near before overtaking the prey in a few swift bounds.
