Bengal Cat
Felis Bengalensis
The Bengal Cat, given with some doubt, has a body eighteen inches to the tail-base and a shoulder height of nine inches, the upper parts yellowish-brown and paler on the legs, thickly marked with lengthened spots that grow round upon the limbs and toes. The white belly bears large black patches like the jaguar’s, the ears are black at base and tip, the forehead lined, the tail indistinctly ringed, and the whole woolly fur received from Java.
