Sharp-Tailed Vinago

Vinago oxyura

A native of Java, widely spread there, differing from its kin in lacking the yellow wing-edging and bearing a more conical tail whose two acuminated middle feathers project far beyond the rest. The body is largely green, brightest on throat and belly, with a narrow saffron-yellow half-collar across the breast, yellow vent, black quills, grey and bluish tail feathers, red toes, and a stout grey hooked bill.
