Rufous-Crowned Tody

Lepturus ruficeps

A little bird of light drab brown upper plumage inclining to fulvous on the rump, with darker tail and wings, dirty white wing edges, and a dirty white stripe over the eye and lores. The middle of the crown is pale rufous, the under plumage white but straw coloured from the breast with ferrugineous sides, the under mandible and feet pale and the upper bill dark horn colour, total length about four inches.
