White-Bellied Flycatcher
Muscipeta leucogaster
A large long tailed flycatcher of typical form, exceeding five inches from bill to vent, with bright rufous back, wings, and considerably graduated tail, light cinereous neck and throat, and a dark steel blue crown. The crest differs from all known species in its very narrow, much lengthened feathers, and the whole body from the throat is white; the bird was received from India through the attentions of the Countess of Dalhousie.
